The college look has become the favourite look of many brands including Franklin & Marshall who are an Italian based brand. The founders Giuseppe Albarelli and Andrea Pensiero are two designers that have a love of vintage clothing and the classic American College look. They looked around for the inspiration for their designs looking at both modern day youth fashions and the cult look of the 1950’s. This was the first time that teenagers dressed differently to their parents channelling icons of music, television and film instead of wearing a version of their parents clothing. The fact that this clothing signifies the first elements of youth freedom is why it still endures to this day.
